On the Nature of Women Considering a Search Fund Launch

Minahil Nawaz, Sara Rosenthal, Lacey Wismer, Ryan Robinson, A. J. Wasserstein. (2021)

Yale Case, no number printed, June 23, 2021

Seven hurdles and mitigations, drawn from an unstated number of interviews. No author-run survey; charts come from the Women's Search Network annual survey, whose own caveat is quoted: its data "represent known female searchers who responded to the WSN's annual survey but may not be representative". "fewer than 25 of those individuals have been women launching U.S.-based, traditionally funded searches." (p5, footnoted to WSN; the less-than-10-percent share is Stanford 2020). Small WSN cells (n = 15 and n = 45). Two co-authors are WSN founders.
