Tools

Instruments, not advice.

Three working tools built from the curriculum. Each one runs a specific framework against a specific set of facts and returns a document or a number you can take into a conversation with a lender, a seller or an attorney.

  1. 01

    SBA Deal Stress-Tester

See the math a 7(a) lender runs before the lender runs it.

Debt service coverage, equity injection, seller note treatment, and the maximum price your deal supports, under both the old rules and the ones that took effect on October 1, 2026.

  2. 02

    The Red Flag Screener

Run a deal against the patterns that killed other people's deals.

Five red lines, six verification checks, the hidden weight questions, and the seven link chain, scored from the post-mortems in Buyer Beware. Note the path: /red-flags is this site's library, the screener lives at /red-flag-screener.

  3. 03

    LOI Generator

Your offer, on a real law firm's template.

Answer questions about structure, price and terms and get a Letter of Intent built directly on the Barlow and Williams 2026 template, as an editable Word document. Built with the firm, no cost.

How to read a result

A tool returns a number. The judgment is yours.

Each tool runs one framework from the curriculum against the facts you enter. It does not know what you left out, and it cannot verify a seller's number. Treat a result as the start of a conversation with a lender, an attorney or an accountant, not the end of one.

The stress-tester models an SBA 7(a) structure and will not fit an investor-funded stack. The screener's verdict depends on what you were honest about. The LOI is a draft on a real firm's template and still needs a lawyer before it is sent.
